Schedules
Monday through Sunday 6:00am
Tour overview
On your way to Chichen Itza, you’ll stop for breakfast in the ancient town of Valladolid and then visit Ik Kil, one of the most beautiful cenotes in the Yucatan Peninsula. Then you’ll enjoy lunch and music at a Spanish colonial style restaurant. After lunch, the driver will take you to Chichen Itza where you’ll spend the afternoon exploring the awe-inspiring, ancient Mayan ruins for the rest of the day.
In the spring and autumn, admire a unique spectacle: the Equinox as the sun rises and sets, when it casts a shadow on the pyramid steps in the shape of a moving serpent. This effect is a symbol of the Kukulkan god’s descent (feathered serpent) along the north side of the pyramid staircase. On the way to Chichen Itza, admire the ancient city of Valladolid and swim in Ik Kil, a natural sinkhole or cenote surrounded by cave formations with crystal clear waters. Ik Kil is one of the most beautiful cenotes in the region.
